The Story
Soha Abou Alwan Hamdan, who at 50 years old and after a long and fruitful career in teaching, realized her ambition with Maison Mirath. Soha is a mother, professional, businesswoman, fashion designer, and activist. She always nurtured a passion for gemstones and fine jewelry in addition to her work. But she abandoned her ambition due to the conflict in Lebanon, the ongoing political and economic unrest, financial constraints, and her motherly duties.
After her son and daughter left the nation to pursue their careers in 2014, Soha decided to change her life. Despite the challenging circumstances and the unsteady political climate, she took the plunge and enrolled in gemology and design courses in Paris.
She launched her boutique and brand, Sabulosity, in 2015 thanks to her ability to face and conquer her concerns.
A few years later, while Nadine worked in Dubai, she decided to support her mother in her quest and take a difficult step forward in her professional and personal life.
Powerfully together, they redesigned the company’s image to become Maison Mirath in 2018.
The Arabic word for legacy is “Mirath,” and legacy is a kind act of belonging, sharing, and love. And that is the legacy that Maison Mirath is leaving with every one of its one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
Today, it is a prestigious family affair with several accomplishments. Maison Mirath has worked with several fashion designers, stylists, and iconic women.
In addition to opening its online store maisonmirath.com, the Maison is displayed in opulent department stores, including Harvey Nichols Doha and Galeries Lafayette Dubai. Maison Mirath hopes to spread this tradition across the globe, so this is just the beginning.

Actual Mirath pieces are those made by Maison Mirath, which specializes in creating distinctive, statement-making jewelry in small runs. Every piece is meant to be a part of someone’s journey and legacy and has its inspiration and tale.
Maison Mirath is well-known for its iconic stackable Harmony Collection, which features geometric layers of precious stones, diamonds, and gold that flow into one another in harmony. The mother-daughter duo’s complementarity is amply demonstrated in The Harmony Collection.
The Designing Process
At Maison Mirath, the process of designing jewelry blends cutting-edge creativity, rigorous craftsmanship, and technological knowledge. It goes through a complete process—from sketching to construction to stone selection and polishing—to produce a piece with unrivaled originality in design, finishing, and brilliance.
The Maison’s works of art are crafted by highly talented artisans who begin with 3-dimensional mockups before turning them into 18K gold. Then, stones are set, ensuring that each stone is brilliantly emphasized.
Each piece is polished at least twice to ensure the luster of the visible sections and the surfaces.
