The World Cup trophy that will be awarded to the wining team of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is unquestionably one of the most recognizable awards in sports. It features two people holding up the Earth and was first presented at the 1974 competition in West Germany.
In Addition, an Italian designer Silvio Gazzaniga, who worked for the Bertoni manufacturing firm outside of Milan, created the trophy that is made of 18-Karat gold and malachite, and is just under 37cm (14 inches) in height and slightly over 6kg in weight (13 pounds).
At the time of its manufacture, it cost about $50,000; today, it is estimated to be worth almost $20 million.
